You used to have this huge heavy wall mount kit for LCDs because they weighted 100lbs. Then LED LCDs came out and they're 60lbs. Now we're down to ultra-thin LED LCDs, and they're 8lbs - ideal for wall mounting. No heavy, difficult wall mount installations. Imagine a 50# dumb bell being thrown at you at 25 mph...<br><br>Are you going to be able to keep standing?<br><br>Now imagine if that object was 9#.<br><br>With a 9# TV, you don't need to worry about attaching to multiple studs in the wall with 4+ screws. I could care less if they make it -0.5 inch thick! Improve the image quality and lower the price then we'll talk.<br><br>Ok, I understand that thinness and lightness can be a consideration to some.
