Price would ultimately be the deciding factor for me). I believe the X10 also has an OLED display, like the Nexus One is rumored to. The only sticking point is its version of Android, which is expected to be updated soon after the initial release. I'm sure people will get a Vanilla Android 2.1 running on it within days of being released, resolving this shortcoming.

All-in-all, this will be a great phone IFF they release it on time (unlike the X1) and don't price it over the market rate. Consumers will pay a little bit of a price premium; however i do not see this phone being a success if sold for over $299. It must be priced on par with the iPhone, unsubsidized or not. The market for unlocked phones in the US is a small niche and not enough to keep SE afloat and make an actual profit. Just as Sony did with the PS3, they need to forward price this phone to get mass market acceptance.

enlightenment

Comments on Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 hits the FCC again, this time with AT&T's 3G bands

after a few years without s/e phones, i will be back for the x10

dUN

Comments on Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 hits the FCC again, this time with AT&T's 3G bands

Do I dare say...... iPhone killer?

Per

Comments on Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 hits the FCC again, this time with AT&T's 3G bands

if this DOES happen to hit AT&T, does anyone else think they will exchange all the pre-installed Google apps for their own and yahoo ones?!

they're apparently doing that for their first Android phone with Motoblur, Google search is "Yahoo Search", the only google app on there is Google Maps.

Jonathan

Comments on Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 hits the FCC again, this time with AT&T's 3G bands

I'll be selling my 3GS for this phone.

I was going to wait for HTC's Android phone for AT&T but I don't know, this shit looks pretty good now that I go back and look at it.

xberxinfinity

Comments on Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 hits the FCC again, this time with AT&T's 3G bands

I have had the opportunity to play around with this for a couple of days and i have to say, this is the nicest hardware running android today.
