Induction coils like the Pre's touchstone dock can only really be used for power. Lower end laptops connected to the dock would still be able to sync, etc. wirelessly. <br><br>Also, placing a receiver in the dock ensures compatibility with everything they'd like the device to do instead of messing with it to get it to an acceptable level of compatibility with every 3rd-party Bluetooth dongle/adapter out there. Just get T-mobile.<br><br>Seriously though there will always be phones you want on other carriers. As of this moment there is no perfect phone. So don't worry.
