I have had just the opposite experience with Skype.  It works perfect for video chat with my folks who have PCs.  I have a Mac and tried to have them use AOL with little to no luck. I agree yahoo sucks, but<br><br>For me, While the video in ichat and AIM isn't as good as Skype, the connection is far stabler, especially when talking to friends for overseas. MSN has the best video quality out of the 3 (as it keeps it's I-frame count consistent, but will goto low frame rates (around 5-10) when the connection gets bad. I've noticed for most of europe, download speeds are usually better then the US, but the uploads suck. With a webcam, the camera will not be moving and very little besides the person or subject in the frame will be moving with a stationary background.  It's not like trying to encode a 720p movie at 800kbit/s.
