How many years will these last? For reference, I went to Lowes last weekend to replace some lights of this type and while a replacement CFL was around $7-8 for them, a replacement LED bulb (Sylvania) was $65.  An LED will give you around 40K hours, which if you used it for 8 hours a day, would give you over 13 years of life out of that bulb, at which point you have probably changed the sound system around some. Think of it more as a way to get 'background' sound into your kitchen or dining room.  Then it starts to make a little more sense.
