I'm assuming it's last years model but I'm not sure of what, if any, differences there are. I'm not sure if mine can handle two different bluetooth devices or not. It worked good but I never hardwired it in and therefore stopped using it shortly thereafter because it wasn't convenient to use. An ideal device might be windshield mountable with a solar panel for power on the backside.

My device that replaced this one blows it away. However at $70,000 it better. The "play/pause" button worked, but not the other 2 when I tried it. Also, I felt like the Cruiser has a weaker FM transmitter than the Jabra SP700, which I was planning on upgrading from. Not necessarily that there's more static, but the volume that comes through my car speakers seems lower using the Cruiser vs. the SP700.

jrhuang

Comments on Jabra Cruiser Bluetooth speakerphone and Extreme BT headset unveiled

@jrhuang it does not skip tracks . . . as far as i have found none of the bluetooth audio stuff does. and as for the quality of the sound? well my t501 usually does better ( though lately its been cutting out pretty bad ) hope this helps

rokorre

Comments on Jabra Cruiser Bluetooth speakerphone and Extreme BT headset unveiled

@jrhuang this is because the iPhone does not support AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile). Anyway, here's some comments that I left on another site (oh yeah, and it comes with a car charger):

Oh yeah! It's not even on the Best Buy site yet, but I was up there today and they had one in stock, so I grabbed it! I've been a long time user of the BT530, so I've been waiting for this one to come out since I heard about it! My BT530 was awesome, except the power switch broke off after about 6 months, so I've been using a mini screwdriver to turn it on for the last 6 months plus. The Extreme looks better than the BT530, the power switch seems more sturdy, the buttons feel better (not that they were bad on the BT530). The new style ear gels are nice, and the old ones fit too. Sounds quality is equal to, if not slightly better than, the BT530 - AWESOME! The BT530 and now the Extreme have better sound quality and fit than any other that I've tried (Plantronics, Blueant, Jawbone). The main feature for me is A2DP - I stream podcasts to my headset a lot when I'm at work. I wouldn't buy a headset that doesn't have it, so I'm glad that the best sounding, best fitting headset out there supports it! Two thumbs up and a big grin!!

kilen

Comments on Jabra Cruiser Bluetooth speakerphone and Extreme BT headset unveiled

2 Kilen,
does the extreme also do next, back track for ipod app on iphone 3gs?

brunodasilva
