Let me use it as a remote for my PS3 and CTHT-100 soundbar, possible TV in the spring, and it might me worth it.
Needs flash card slots and it can replace Sony's digital photo frames.
MEH.......It doesn't fit into my life style. I guess pips ll be out there that ll love something like this
$199 doesn't seem like that much for this...
@Jordan
Agreed, considering that some 7" photo viewer from Sony are $100+.
@Jordan Agreed. $199 seems like a fair price for a product like this. With the size of the screen I doubt it can reach the magic price of $99.
Also agree 200 seems pretty reasonable, being able yo wake up, view weather, see facebook updates, and emails and such all before rolling out of bed. Awsome, also if you go to best buy there are $40 alarms and $400 alarms.. Seems reasonable to me. But does anyone know if it has an iPod hookup, because if not I might have to take back everything I just said >_
Well, I think I just found my alarm clock replacement.
@patrickdnj Same, except I don't care for one that's that much... :(
@patrickdnj
Ditto
Meh, you guys really got my hopes up when you said it was a tablet but this is just a really fancy $200 alarm clock. Granted it is nice, but lower the price by another $100 and I would buy it.
Everything I liked about the Chumby with none of the shortcomings, I can't wait to buy one or more. I'm sure one will end up at my office, maybe one for my desk at home, maybe one in my bathroom and/or kitchen but the whole bedside thing though, eh, I really don't see this on my bedside table. I can see where the idea might seem appealing in theory, but in practice, I just don't see what kind of widgets I would want to view in bed. Normally when I go to bed it is to go to sleep and when I wake up I get out of bed and leave the bedroom.
Screen resolution?
@JEdelman 800 x 480 I believe.
Spotify plx!
worst product demonstration ever.
If this can do everything my Grace Internet Radio can, that is, play both Internet radio stations (with a provided comprehensive database) and my networked media, I might replace it with this in my bedroom and move it to the living room.
Still needs Hulu though. Or a web browser that can handle Flash. (Google -- we need a Chumby version of Chrome...)
