I think garish worked perfectly, as it fits I would consider a huge white logo on an otherwise all black device as both showy and flashy.  And if we check gaudy, we find that works too as it means ostentatiously or tastelessly ornamented. I HATE most shiny surfaces, because I HATE the fingerprints they attract.  My Logitech MX Revolution does it, but the shiny ring stays fairly fingerprint free though.
