You may well get 1080p as the Netgear adapter will upscale to 1080p if that is the preferred resolution of your TV. But given the fact that 95% of the content online is 720p at best the output is very good. The HD content from Netflix looks great, provided you have the necessary bandwidth to support it, Hulu content looks great as well. Yes of course two channel audio is included. When you connect to the Netgear adapter the notebook's local audio is not audible and the only audio heard is from your HDTV.  When you use Intel Wireless Display you will find that Intel has really focused on creating a very seamless and easy solution for the mainstream consumer.
