Seeing things through the screen just degrades the image on the screen (which I'm sure is even worse outside with bright things shining through), you lose some of the brightness you could have had as some light is showing out the back as well as the front, and everything's backwards to anyone you hold it up to. No fugly do-nothing half of the device. All screen with a few buttons. No transparent screen please. unless this is for the purpose of both sides displaying video. Then you can keep it.
