Don't know where or when I read this, but I remember reading an article that said that the MBP can't get an i7 for some reason related to GPU. I forget the technical details, something about NVIDIA not having a proper lisence to make GPUs for the new intel lineup, so then the only other option would be to have a discreet GPU and also use the crappy intel graphics integrated into the cpu...maybe have it switchable? Intel to save battery life, Nvidia when it's plugged in or when you wanna fly? I think the big deal here is that Apple insisted they wouldn't use the new Clarkdale chips unless Intel removed the IGP.
