However, computer purchases all boil down to PERSONAL PREFERENCE.  So, a person might, say, use a Windows 7 tablet over some type of Mac OS tablet because of PERSONAL PREFERENCE!!!<br><br>If people want to use Apple products, they do.  If people want to use a product that runs Windows, they do!  Quit saying "I don't see how..." and just realize that not everybody has the same opinion on how a computing experience should be.<br><br>Besides, if we only had Apple or only had Microsoft or only had Linus, our computing experiences would most likely suck because there would be no market competition to push companies to innovate.<br><br>If you like Apple, be glad that Microsoft has a huge market share because it pushes Apple to innovate so they can gain/hold market share.  If you like Microsoft, be glad that Apple has a viable market share that Microsoft is scared to lose. Use full OSX and then we are making some sense, but then again we are talking about crApple they make no sense. I expect the apple tv to have more sales then this failed device one year from now."<br><br>Well here's the deal. If it is mearly a larger iPhone, essistally a closed-platform with everything locked down to heck, then I cant fathom what would be the draw.<br><br>IPhone and Touch users? Why buy the same device twice? Get a macbook and have the best of both.<br><br>Everyone else. You have to buy it, then you will have to buy Taylor-made "tablet apps" from iTunes in order to use it. Forget just buying normal software.<br><br>And how dumbed-down will tablet apps be compared to full-featured ones? I have both Photoshop, and a tablet-centric drawing program, and Photoshop is used for all the serious work, while the tablet app, while pretty, is more gimmicky.<br><br>"Windows 7 tablet is where its at, full tablet experience with a real operating system, all applications available for Windows and already built in great hand writing recognition, touch screen multitouch support, gestures. However these too are nothing but niche devices but will still outsell any crApple product."<br><br>That's the $20,000 question. If you are going to use a tablet, are you going to go with one running a full OS, that you can run any application your PC can run, or are you going to get one that only runs stuff approved through the "company store"?<br><br>As to how well will it sell? About as well as any other tablet...If it is an open system. A closed system that relies on widget apps and digital magazine? Now we are in crap shoot territory.<br><br>None of the cheerleaders have spelled out what market has magically materialized in the past 6 months that has made tablets all of a sudden a "must have". The iPod was successful as well, because PMPs also had a large market.<br>Tablets on the other hand have a much smaller market, as do ultra expensive, ultrathin laptops like the Adamo and the Macbook Air which haven't done very well. HD PMPs and touchscreen phones were new platforms, tablets are not. Neither the most advanced nor the most powerful phone, it made certain tasks so much easier - most notably web browsing.<br><br>Fast forward a few years, and despite coming late to the game with features like MMS, cut/copy/paste, and tethering, the iPhone is so successful it has one of the largest mobile networks blaming it for degraded data performance, a hugely profitable development ecosystem, and every other mobile phone manufacturer desperately trying to devise a device to "kill" it.<br><br>The iPod and the MP3 player market is another example.
