cons:

1. very slow boot-up time. takes 15 seconds to take a picture if powered down.
2. autofocus is horrible - will not focus if zoomed in (6 feet away), no focus if zoomed out pointing at clouds in the sky.
3. white balance is awful. available modes are super-orange, or super-blue.
4. manual mode seriously hard to work/limited. it would take anyone years to truly master the manual functions on this, even if they are a pro darkroom nerd.
5. dust gets in the lens housing very easily. cannot be removed/blown out.
6. movie mode - even if you have a 8gb SD in there, movie will stop recording after random amount of time. Many of my overnight movies were only 1.5 - 2.25 hours long, even though battery or card space never ran out; it just stops recording.

pros:

1. excellent/good battery life.
2. very solid/heavy case
3. takes awesome 'bulb' pictures at night if you sit it on something solid and use the times exposure shutter release setting LOL

And slowly the low light capabilities are actually improving in models over time.

So this is only the third GPS camera I'm aware of, excluding big SLRs. It's the first compact with GPS. It adds a 24-360 zoom and AMOLED. And you complain "they all do the same" and you want to see some new ideas in this size?
