in brief, the source seems to believe that microsoft never really intended to ship any "project pink" phones in the first place, and that the prototypes they've crapped out so far are next to useless.
i'm hoping for a new sidekick just as much as the next danger-faithful, but let's be frank for a minute -- sidekicks are always about one generation behind the current crop of phones, and with the advent of 3G on t-mobile it's long past time for them to get rid of the proxy browsing model they've been using since the beginning, and put a decent web browser on it for a change. the ui is heavenly and the keyboard is downright unbeatable. the whole os is quick as can be, despite the screen flip animation lagging once in a while, but those phones have always been fantastic in more ways than not.
