Considering the price seen brandished about for the MotoROI upon release in Korea was slated somewhere in the vicinity of $800 USD equivalent. Neither this nor the HTC HD2 was set to come in under $300-400, and this will do absolutely nothing ....nothing on behalf of TMo. Where only 1,000-2,000 of these phones at MOST throughout their time of offering, will be sold.

That is, IF, they bring in these higher end phones in that stratospheric range of phone prices. Even the highest end iPhone with 32Mb is available for $299. When are carriers going to get it that in the US, the most that most folks will be willing to dish out for a new and subsidized phone is $299. Compare how many TP2 have been sold on AT&T vs TMo, and you'd see that it's not just the cost of monthly service, but also cost of entry.

Hopefully someone will realize that selling this 'ROI for the kind of $$ reported for other parts of the world, will not do a single thing to bring back Big Moto back from the brink.

Marcelo

Comments on

@MarceloL Please. $7-800 maybe the unlocked/unsubsidized price, but theyll subsidize it heavily.
