Just don't count on reliable e-mail or for that matter the utmost in reliability in general. S60 will give you random crashes and reboots. Just go to Howard Forums and read the complaints about the N97 if you don't believe me. It's all there for your researching pleasure.

sr

Comments on Nokia X6 16GB announced, Comes Without Music

@sr1329

I have a Nokia 5800 and I don't experience random crashes and reboots. But, had I paid more for it, I probably wouldn't be. I find it strange that a smartphone OS as old as Symbian still lacks the polish of new comers like Android, WebOS, and iPhone. Again, not bashing, just my observation based on my first hand experience with the 5800, which is my first Symbian phone.

This leads to another observation, the only reason this thing is announced today is that Nokia really doesn't have anything to say and is feeling a bit insecure and awkward while it continues to be left in the dust on the eve of a major announcement from Apple.

It's really just to say "hey, we're here, don't forget us". If they had done this after tomorrow, it'd for sure be overshadowed by Apple's announcement and not have a snowball's chance in hell of being noticed. I've been working in advertising for the last 15 years, and this is just the sort of thinking marketing execs have, rather than investing money and manpower where it really counts — the product.

Oh Nokia, I want to like you, but when you will learn that hardware alone doesn't make the product?

tuna

Comments on Nokia X6 16GB announced, Comes Without Music

If it has the same processor and ram as the N97 and N97 mini, then you can count me out

digitallysick

Comments on Nokia X6 16GB announced, Comes Without Music

I'll get another Nokia when they stop putting in underpowered processors, way too low RAM memory and the buggy S60v5 on their touch screen phones.

The N900 is a step in the right direction, but Maemo is not very mature.
