It seems Engadget actually went through some effort to make this chart so thats cool, but unfortunately it doesn't matter because even though I wish some of these rumors were true, we got the iPad and we have to deal with it as is...software updates ftw hopefuly.

I was really hoping this was going to be revolutionary.....but all it is is a big ass iPod Touch (one that is on steroids). Where's the video, flash, multi tasking? How can you replace a netbook with a device that doesn't multitask. Lol that video is the lamest thing I have ever seen from apple or any company about a product. I was laughing to much when he was talking about the keyboard because in order for him to type on it and see it he was laying on his back with his legs on a chair and propping it up on his legs. Now if thats not totally impractical i dont know what is.

In the iPads defense it will do what it can do better than most other products such as email and web browsing but for $500-$830 i want much more from a device. It's better than I expected, but not enough to make me change my mind in regards to buying one.

Upscaled/halfsized iPhone apps? Please, like I said elsewhere, they're going to look horrible and pixellated, and I just don't want that.

The keyboard is a nice touch though, if only it connected through USB instead of a Pop. port. That, and I'm guessing that "Bluetooth Keyboard" in this case means "Apple Keyboard", and no other. I'd love to connect my DiNovo Edge to this, but alas, it probably doesn't offer any kind of non-AppleKB pairing on it.

A poprietary processor is just confusing, what is it? an ARM? x86? PPC? something new entirely? If so, that means we're once again stuck in a loop of Apple being able to do what they want, no matter how much it screws us over (I have a PowerBook G4, and believe me, I jumped for joy when they switched to Intel).

Really, what's the point of a device that sits in the middle of Smartphones and computers? For one thing, smartphones these days are, well, smart enough that you can often find them overlapping computer functionality. There was no 'Gap' that needed filling, because there are 9-inch PCs (and not just netbooks), and 5-inch smartphones. This iPad isn't filling a gap, it's wedging itself in without regards to either side.

Like I've said previously: No full OSX = No sale (for me, anyway), if and when I buy something liket this, it will be so I can replace my Laptop with something a bit easier to use on my daily commute. As it is, already have all the functionality that I can get from this (Smartphone + Laptop), so carrying one of these around in addition is going to add unncessecary weight, use up much-needed bag space, and replicate functions that I already have no problem using.

That dock is an interesting iDea though. I'd personally LOVE to see something like this, mabye in a 12-15 inch format, designed to sit on a desk (like a touchscreen PC). I'd be much more forgiving to iPhone OS in it as a desk companion, because there are some great cooking/handyman/use of two hands apps in the App store, and obviously this already has quite an accomplished pedigree when it comes to photo slideshows and video playback.

As for this 'MicroSIM'... What the hell? Apple, I understand you like your things thin, but a SIM CARD? it's a half-inch across and cardboard thin now! I'm sure you could've found SOMEWHERE on your 10-inch side-to-side tablet to fit a slot for a SIM. Oh, but wait, it just means that you can't go anywhere else but AT&T. I look forward to the data pricing here in Australia: 250MB for only 35 dollars! Unlimited data for only 99 dollars!

It seems like most of you all let your imaginations run away with you about what this magical new device would be capable of and are lashing out because it failed to live up to an impossibly high standard created by internet hype. I expected nothing more than a super-sized iPod Touch with a native eBook reader app, so I am by no means disappointed, iWorks was a pleasant surprise.
