They run the same OS. Yes that's very true. But it seems like the iSlate is a much more polished device overall and will provide an excellent experience.

The Kindle is a fuck ugly piece of technology and I wouldn't be caught dead with one in public.

2nd if I want an iSlate then I will buy one period. And I will tell others to do so if I like it a lot.

3rd I have an iPhone and while it's the best phone I've ever had I'm interested in getting this iSlate in addition to that...mainly for the e-Book part of it.

You say that I would be making a "mistake"...

How do you know that? You have way of knowing that. In the end it comes down to whether or not the device will provide me with what I want it to do and provide a great experience doing that.

Right now I'm not 100% sold on that. However I am still researching it and I have concerns about what the future of this device will be.

Tablets have been failing for a LONG time now. I'd like to think that Apple will change this and I think they have a chance to do so.

Actually the only place I hear about the damn thing is when I come to Igadgetcom to read some news.
Its not overly hyped up very much anyplace else.

Looking forwards to getting a HP Tm2 tho and using everything I already own on it. unlike the Ipad where everything must be repurchased I even doubt the ability to port over your apps from the Iphone to it thus having to repurchase those as apps as well. This Ipad will suck so many peoples money away :(
