Even though the watch looks generic it still has a unique design. As a result anyone doing concealed carry (not that one should be CCW-ing a .22 anyway) would be immediately spotted after a few months of this hitting the streets, which will sort of defeat the point of ccw.

Guns can be safely used for recreational/sporting purposes. Blowing away some junk on a range is a ton of fun and very relaxing. Responsible gun ownership is a good thing.

Of course, trophy hunting and drive-by shootings are irresponsible uses. However, this technology is another way to help encourage safe gun use if it were not so expensive. Geotagging shots would provide another deterrence to illegal use, but is highly invasive.

While I was not for a "war," the intent was to "help." Nukes would cause to much collateral damage. Now this blog is for TECHNOLOGY and not politics. There are other disadvantages, but I think the main selling point here is to help avoid those tragic accidents where a child find and uses a gun by mistake.
