The Pandora is still in the same state as it has been for over a year: The state of "As soon as this-and-that-is-done, mass production will start." Delivery is always just a month away. The Pandora was a great product to begin with, but it is becoming more and more outdated and the hardware is no longer worth the price. Kinda sad, actually. Also, the developers always blame the delays on the hardware, while even the GUI is not completely finished yet, so even with a finished hardware a year ago, the whole thing would still not be ready to ship today. And try to find some information about the toolchain for developing software for this device. For some reason, the developers have still not been able to write a simple and concise summary of what tools you need to develop software for this thing. After all, they've only had 2+ years to do exactly that, while supposedly just waiting for the chinese factory to deliver the next batch of samples.

It is nice to see though that they managed to port something other than an emulator for an outdated gaming console onto the Pandora. Recently, it appeared to me that the community is completely satisfied with playing 15-year-old console games and yet another port of Doom and Quake on a device that could really do so much more.

Bauer

Comments on Android ported to Pandora, in the name of science or something

@Bauer GCC and SDL.
