3D has its applications, it's probably best in the theaters and also for gamers. To be honest, the only time I have seen anything in 3D and was impressed by it was with Beowulf at an IMAX. I am quite convinced that 3D simply does not work unless your entire field of view is filled with it. A few weeks ago I watched Avatar at our local multiplex in 3D (not by choice, mind, since it was the only version available at the time) and, frankly, the 3D effect was just distracting and the glasses were annoying. It just looks so fake.
