Regarding read/write speeds... well that depends on *which* SDXC your talking about. The initial cards (SD 3.0) won't be any faster than SDHC (SD 2.0). In fact they're pretty much the same cards, except with the artificial capacity limit removed. There are situations where all photographers would sacrifice a bit of quality for a huge optical zoom.
