The power of this device is it's Android OS and that it is Googles own handset, I think that positions it above a lot of the other very similar devices out there.<br><br>I just think it's miles behind in the industrial design in regards to creativity and innovation on an aesthetic level. I don't want to bring the ugly stick out again for fear of reprisal lol<br><br>However, I almost do not see the N1 is in the same space. It looks like a business offering to me. The palm pre is going to be the main competitor I would guess, can't get the pre in my country however so I am only going on what I have seen online.<br><br>Looks wise the HTC HD2, Hero & Touch Diamond 2 are all nice. Hey I just don't like the dated look of the N1.<br><br>I'm no Apple fan boy either, I think the Zune HD is a nice piece of industrial design, get Android on there with some phone internals and that would be mean! I am not keen on the pre's looks at all (although I know most people love its looks) and have always (with the exception of a few models e.g. the G1) liked HTCs business-like looks.  <br>I think that a phone being a little understated (as the N1 is) is better than it trying too hard to look cool.  I can't stand glossy black plastic, glossy white plastic, faux-chrome bezels, large logos etc.  That's just my taste though.
