I have a 450D and it's still going strong! It's a great camera for the price.<br>But I'm thinking of upgrading for a 5D mark II because I need that wonderful, almost noise free, high ISOs... and why not go FF while I'm at it? Think I'll get it with a 24-70 2.8.<br><br>Question! Has Canon released the new firmware yet? If the T2i has all those video modes why doesn't the 5D? And what about manual exposure? My ideal sensor size would be about 12MP--there would be enough detail, but the RAW files wouldn't chew up your hard drive and your system resources while processing.<br><br>I would love to see the video this can produce. Should be enough for you to get started out.<br><br>Also, if you can't afford expensive glass, you're not tied to any system. I still have 35 mm bodies and I enjoy the fact that my lenses actually work on both systems.  Plus if I ever decide to get a full frame system I really don't think I'll be in the mood to buy new lenses. Its sorta how I know about it (I didn't just invent it last night in my sleep).  I do appreciate the suggestions (you do appear to be trying to help afterall) its just that I want CANON to come up with one.  Thats really what I was going for.  I've already invested in the sytem and don't want to sell my gear at half price just to pick up someone else's model (then have Canon come out with body IS- that would be a slap in the face huh?). The higher resolution sensors are too noisy on sensors that small.  But with a DSLR that is not as much of an issue.  A sensor that size can handle that many megapixels. (Okay, it would only be a bit better, because the difference between 12MP and 18MP isn't that much... but it isn't that much resolution-wise either, only a 22% increase.)<br><br>I don't even know offhand what my camera is, I think 10MP? It's plenty. But I'd certainly like better performance at high ISOs (and I don't mean silly ones... 800 and 1600). Aside from the full-frame cameras, which are definitely better, I'm not really seeing evidence of massive reductions in noise in sensor raw data in new cameras - they seem to be increasing resolution instead.<br><br>Oh, and while they're improving sensors I'd like a higher dynamic range (i.e. it can detect more light before reaching the 'white' clip point) too...<br><br>And I'd like the higher-quality/more-expensive cameras to become a bit smaller like this range too.
