They will have multiple versions, fucking up their brand.

2. The apps that come with it, like calculator, weather, and calender will look like they were coded by a freshman college student taking intro to programming. They should be investing $2 million dollars on EACH of those apps by dedicating a full-time staff of 5 people (two graphics artists with 3DS Max skills, two programmers, and a program manager) to each app. Most of their time should be spent on making it look pretty not adding features or making the UI complex. Yes that would cost $50 million in total for all the little apps but they have $40 billion dollars in cash in their bank account. The mobile live messenger app needs about $300 million poured into it so it can support video conferencing and ease of use features. Yes it shouldn't take $300 million to add video-conferencing to an app, but we are talking about MSFT.

It'll come out that they spent $1 billion on windows phone 7 and the little apps like weather, calculator will look like they were done in one week by two freshman college students. Microsoft doesn't pay attention to details. They should have invested an $1 billion on attention to details .. it would have paid of handsomely and they'd still have $38 billion in the bank.

3. Multi-tasking will not be supported, and even worse switching from one app to another will be a royal pain (it will take about 5 seconds).

4. The GPS app will suck.

At the end of MWC people will be talking about what it can't do, not what it can.

Axitaxiwaxi

Comments on

@Axitaxiwaxi and you have decided this because you have seen WinMo 7 or used it for weeks on end? Let me explain my madness.
The rumors say that tasks will simply be "paused" in the background. The problem with WM that has had people complain for years was that people simply did not want to go and take the effort and close apps. This put great strain on resources. If you just pause applications, you greatly free up CPU load, and apps will still be on RAM to boot up quickly.
