That's why I trust HTC, they always keep the updates, firmwares and new ROMs coming even to old models, and if a bug is found instead of going into denial mode, they aknowledge it and start to work on it until they find a solution.

They are about to release the Legend and in the same time release the latest android version for the Hero .
Samsung and LG have something to learn here if they want people to buy their smartphones.

This is an interesting spin on a problem. If HTC is having problems with their hardware, why try to paint a bad picture of other companies? I can only wonder: did everyone else get a different phone? I live in the Baltimore-Washington area, and my 3G is spotless. Maybe HTC got a bad bag of chips? It works fine if you are in a strong reception area. Mine does the thing with the hand dropping the 3g and going to edge in my house but if I walk outside it no longer drops bars just stays on 3g and for what it's worth every phone i've ever had including iphone dropped bars in my house depending on how I held it. The guy in the video is receiving a 3G signal at -77dBm.That's anything but weak. HTC definitely has a hardware issue to resolve.

The cpu plays its part well. Having used multiple different devices from different cpu sizes.
