I wow my friends with all the live wallpapers (I know; eye candy, but still), I can go to bed without plugging the phone in and still use it well into the next day, the voice-to-text has really matured ... I could keep going, but the point is that I've experienced none of the storied problems.<br><br>I can only wonder:  did everyone else get a different phone?  I live in the Baltimore-Washington area, and my 3G is spotless.  Maybe HTC got a bad bag of chips?  Or is this more of the "iPad effect": dreams of unicorns give way to a horse reality. It seems like the radio (at least the HSPA one) doesn't work well, if at all, when a person's body is covering it. <br><br>I used to see this all the time on my Original iPhone when I held it from the bottom, covering the plastic area where the antenna was. Mine does the thing with the hand dropping the 3g and going to edge in my house but if I walk outside it no longer drops bars just stays on 3g and for what it's worth every phone i've ever had including iphone dropped bars in my house depending on how I held it. The 3G issues I found was in weak 3G areas. Here at home; I have a full bar 3G, it has never switch to EDGE when I am in strong 3G areas, only when I am in a weak 3G area. I would say when I am using 2 bars in 3G it switches back in forth.
