I also have the Klipsch S4's they are one of the highest rated in-ears for under $100.

As far as Ult Ears go, when they got bought out by Logitech they reduced the quality of the "consumer grade" models. Well, I havent tried the Apple in ear's, but I can tell you that these really are the best. I've used them for 4 months now, and if your willing to sacrifice a bit of high, the bass and midrange are amazing. I have not heard good things about the Apple in-ear headphones (the $79 ones). The S4 is pretty amazing for their price, and I would be hard pressed to recommend a pair of IEMs that are generally good all around (some headphones are slightly better for highs, others for lows, this is pretty good with both).

I know the inline system is touted as an apple tech (due to the chip), but Nokia has had similar {ear-buds + mic + controls with a 3.5 jack) tech for a couple of years. Since I also use the 3g/Touch from time to time so the s4i would serve me there as well, just want to make sure that I can use the headphones + mic for hands-free and music.

Since my UE4vi just refuse to work, I've been using my Denon's. They are just plain headphones but the n900's mic is surprisingly powerful and it works surprisingly well in a quite enviorment. However im looking for something more universal & the s4/i's are supposed to be the best choice.

Sony probably has the best lower price noise cancelling head phones, but you are better off getting good in-ear headphones (with proper noise isolation) for that price.
