Nexus One coming to Verizon March 23rd?
What better way to start your Saturday afternoon than with another Nexus One release rumor. Without further ado, today we've got whispers care of Neowin that the recently-FCC'd CDMA device is launching on Verizon's network March 23rd, perfect timing for the beginning of CTIA. And while that fits pretty neatly into that initial "Spring 2010" launch window, there's really no way for us to corroborate at this point other than just taking their word for it. You can wait diligently, can't ya?

Next, come to AT&T!!! It's been approved by the FCC so I hope it's soon!!!
Or the HTC Desire, that would work too :)
@ScienceProUSAcom
sprint plz
@ScienceProUSAcom
hmm, and you say this in a post about Verizon why?
@ScienceProUSAcom I am sure that the nexus one is coming to like everything... google is smart enough to get their products out there to most cariers of cellie talks!
@Caprice Dates Because we prefer to have a Nexus One running on AT&T over Verizon?
@ScienceProUSAcom
Finally the big-V fanboys can stop complaining....
@ScienceProUSAcom
Will not be coming to Atnt! The version everyone speaks of with WCDMA 850/1900/2100 bands is more likely the Vodafone Uk version soon to be announced.
@Caprice Dates because anything reported on by engadget and includes the word android has to have someone mention this
If you want to use it on AT&T, why don't you just buy the unlocked one and do so?
@ScienceProUSAcom Yes, I was planning on waiting until June to see what the new Iphone has in store but the Incredible sounds pretty, ummm, what’s the word I’m thinking of? It means really amazing, extraordinary, I hate when this happens…
Oh well hopefully this one will be the answer for some of the problems N1 has: http://bit.ly/nexus-phone-problems
@futurerheza
YES engadget make a good app.
NexusDoes

@xirsteon
Nexus Pwn!
@xirsteon Poor Palm :-(
@xirsteon
Nexus does Dallas!
Gee - I thought for sure Sprint would get it first! :) JK
@boe
lame... hopefully sprint passes on it nothing special about it
@ajac09 i disagree! the nexus one sure is a load of you know whatbut im sure that its a heck of a lot better than any atnt mytouch and htc phone ive seen online is! not to mention it is almost up to par with PALM!
@emopoops The only thing palm has is webOS.
How long before Sprint? And before you say it, NO I refuse to get a Supersonic over the Nexus. The Supersonic is so ugly.
@(Unverified) I doubt we'll see the Supersonic before Q3 or Q4 - if ever. The leaked photos have different boxes displayed, run on GSM networks and we haven't seen squat for FCC approval. It is the most mythical phones ever rumored to be heading to Sprint.
whats with the staggered god damn roll out
and if every network gets their own.whats the benefit of it being unlocked for someone kicking it stateside
@lolface
I am in total agreement, I would have expected a North American GSM version that would work on the 3G networks of both AT&T and Tmobile. That would be a phone I wouldn't mind buying unlocked.
@lolface
I am in total agreement, if. Google wants to
sell an unsubsidized phone, the North American version should at least work on the 3G bands of both AT&T and Tmobile.
@lolface
Sorry for the dual post, lost my connection when I submitted the first, didn't think it posted.
@lolface
I think broadcom or qualcomm finally just recently created a radio that works for both. I don't think there is currently a phone in existence that works for both US 3G networks.. it might be because TMo's is still rather new.
@hfm
that doesn't explain the crawl out to the MAJOR networks
@lolface
It's probably because Google as a company uses tmobile as their cell service provider.
@BAGAGT1
Not going to be an Atnt version. Just T-Mobile and Verizon.
Hmm I don't know where you got that from, but I had an HTC employee confirm to me that a version for AT&T 3G is in the works and should be available by June-July
Still waiting for my AT&T Nexus One and AT&T HTC Desire...
@Drybones5
no worries.i accidentally uprank someone at least once a day
@lolface
and accidently reply to the wrong comment...
Meh, still no Pre Plus.
I just want to have the Nexus One available for a family plan... Like a $20 add-on like the iPhone has with AT&T. That's the only thing keeping me from signing up with T-Mobile.
@Wiizer
Its called the HTC Desire in stores. Nexus One online.
@Drybones5
Do you already have a phone, or will you be getting one of these new ones? I'm having issues deciding...
I will wait for the sonyericsson X10, it is better then the nexus one
Hopefully I'll be able to buy one without signing a contract. I like my Droid and all but the keyboard is pretty much useless to me (I use the on-screen keyboard much more).
Hm, I'm in a tough spot!
I have a dumb phone on contract with Verizon that ends next February (a year from now) and I don't want to renew my contract. I just bought a used G1 and am now on T-Mo with no contract, but I'm sick with Nexus envy!
Either way, I'm getting a Nexus unsubsidized at some point, but with T-Mo I don't get very good 3G coverage where I live (I travel a lot within the US though, so it's somewhat of a non-issue) and I know the N1 on T-Mo has some 3G issues.
Should I grab the N1 on Verizon for $90 a month or get it on T-Mo for $60 and deal with the 3G issue? That extra $30 a month would add up over time.
@andthemaniam
It depends on how important the 3G coverage is to you. With my Droid, I have 3G coverage virtually everywhere and its fast regardless of where I am. If you're going to be near wifi a decent about of time, the T-Mo might be the way to go. Otherwise if you can afford it, I would go with the Verizon.
@andthemaniam In a year's time, you'll have plenty of opportunity to realize that you don't like Android very much. ;-)
@hexoDAT64
Yea, that's what I'm thinking. I'm usually not near wifi when I'm not home and I'm looking to tether a couple laptops to the N1, so 3G coverage is key. Would there be anything different from the T-Mo N1 and the Verizon N1 that wouldn't allow me to do that?
@darex
Yea, I hate an OS that allows me to customize it how I please and has such an awesome community. In a year's time, Android will most likely be on 3.0 too. Man, what a letdown.
I'm curious as to what device you have?
@darex
yeah it took me about 1 day to realize how much i hate iphone OS, and also 300$...
looks like sprint might be getting one next cause if at&t can get one what with them having the iphone and all then sprint prolly will too, plus that walmart rumor a while ago about google selling N1's in walmart for every carrier on their bands for 3G.
all u verizon ppl need to buy this, i've had it for like 2 months now on the best carrier in the US in T-Mo and this is the best/greatest phone ever, no doubt. Android is the best OS and the N1 is ****in beastly. T-Mo is gonna get the HD2 and I was originally gonna get it because Sense was going to hide the garbage that is WinMo and was torn between the HD2 and N1 but I caved and bought the N1 unsubsidized and now I don't regret ANY part of that decision. The N1 is simply the best phone I've ever had, and if I had to make that decision again now I'll take the N1 having Android over the HD2's bigger screen but having WinMo. If the HD2 had Android tho way different situation then, HD2 with Android all the way then no doubt.
The N1 is the best phone out right now and prolly will be for some time, the HD2 can compete with it tho.
The Desire is so overrated, look at how long HTC's taken to get a mother****in upgrade for it's OWN ****in BABY in the Hero....how long has it frickin been? Even the G1 AND MYTOUCH are more updated than HTC's own Hero which isn't even in ****in Donut for ****s sake, it's still stuck back in the day in Cupcake. Are you f'in kidding me?
Nexus One > Desire. You can just put a Desire/Sense ROM on the Nexus and the Nexus is getting full Flash soon too, and it's Google's official flagship device so you know it'll get all the updates first and fast. And it doesn't have Sense which HTC spends forever(if ever) updating to the latest Android version. Plus someone posted a link a while back about Sense messing up some Android apps, it was on the google code website, forgot it tho but it was legit. I prefer vanilla Android over all skins anyway.
you VZW customers better get your N1's ASAP when they come out, believe me you'll just be amazed by how godly it is...it's just amazing.
