a d900 would be pretty nice though. i was sort of hoping for a nice micro 4/3-camera. i´ve pretty recently busted up my old trusty d70 and but looking for a proper upgrade. but a small, quick 4/3-camera with fast autofocus both in film and photo would be awesome too.

the d900 would probably end up being to expensive for me anyway though but i´m hoping it would lower prices on that sexy beast that is d700.

with that one i´ll be safe for at least 2 years ahead ;)

I don't think you should regret it considering the 7D is a fine body. But yeah, it would blow for you if Nikon came out with a 7D/5D killer. Same here. After Canon's 550D, and then almost equal capabilities in D5000 there should be a successor to D90.
