And if you only use it for an odd email, or to check your facebook when you are away on a trip, a $250 would do the job nicelly. Seriously. If this thing performs even moderately well, I may finally get a netbook. I'm not looking for a gaming powerhouse (anymore) all I want is something I can bring to class and not be throughly disgusted with when because the dern thing doesn't load anything with any kind of speed. Otherwise, I'm looking at midrange thin and lights. I'd take a battery life trade-off in an instant, especially on the systems that are getting 10-11 hours already. Unless you're planning on making the device a media center and can make use of GPU decoding, you'll get more bang for your buck with another core vs. Ion anything.

Previous posts show that it has 2GB of system RAM and a 320GB HD. 512MB of video RAM is pretty impressive for a netbook. I've got a laptop with a 12"ish screen, full sized keyboard and track pad, integrated DVD writer, decent battery life and it weights about 1kg. It's almost a no compromise netbook. With 2gb of DDR3 for system ram 250gb HD it does 1980*1080 HD no problem playback very smooth. But still has problems with flash on facebook etc...

It's a shame as it runs windows 7 quite well too.

Hdmi and VGA and 3 USB type 2 and multi card reader..
