Android is great, but it's gonna have a perpetual problem due to the differing hardware platforms which cause apps to run inconsistently throughout the various versions of Android and hardware; this post clearly demonstrates one aspect of it. This is a classic case of how a team is only as strong as its weakest link: the hardware is hampering the OS's potential. If Apple does something efficient, it's that they manage both software and hardware in-house to minimize hang ups and maximize potential (but that in itself is a different issue). For the record, I'm not an Apple fanboy, mind you- I own a Droid.

Btw, calling people idiots for stating reasonable opinions doesn't make your own opinions appear any more reasonable. I think you'll be able to contribute to more meaningful conversations in the future if you taught yourself some online etiquette.

danny

Comments on Nexus One's multitouch confused more easily than Droid's?

@Unbiased I have an answer why this is not working app glitch ofc

max1c

Comments on Nexus One's multitouch confused more easily than Droid's?

@Unbiased

I agree that Android will have problems in the marketplace if seemingly stupid issues like this keep on cropping up. Whether it's this display issue or the whole phone connection problem or a bunch of other ones on different phones.

And if it's a hardware or software issue, it doesn't matter - it still makes the Android OS look bad - when one of the richest and most technologically advanced companies on the planet, as well as 1/2 a dozen handset makers continue to pump out phones with annoying problems, people are going to start questioning why this is happening. There is no doubt that ALL phones have problems here or there, and this particular N1 problem is not that big of a deal, but it still makes Android look very amateurish.

Hazdaz

Comments on Nexus One's multitouch confused more easily than Droid's?

Uh oh.
