I wonder if this is like WP7 light. Sorta like how MS had the two variants of WM6 (touchscreen and non-touchscreen). Part of me hopes it will run the same apps as WP7 but the other part doesn't. If it does, devs will end up having to target it's lower hardware specs instead of the juicy WP7 requirements which would kinda suck. It's not going to compete with WP7S at all. Microsoft's modus operandi (at least in the last several years) is to never screw around with their Partner's spheres of business.
