Android v2 has been out for how long?  How hard would it really be to put the latest version on there before shipping it out?  Nextel finally got a newer Blackberry from the i7100 and they give us a slightly updated Curve, which had already been 2 years old on every other carrier.  Plus the network is so slow that you can't use it for anything that needs bandwidth.  They finally get an Android phone and we get 1.5?<br><br>I suppose, though, that they are trying to push people away from iDEN.  I know I wouldn't be using it if it weren't for work refusing to get away from annoying direct connect. I am not on a contract with them and it's killing me to not have a good Android phone for my Sprint account! Why don't they make this a Hybrid phone. CDMA/iDen is would make any PDA a hit. CDMA for cellular and data and iDen for ptt. Nextel still has a huge following by public safety, government, and buisness users. The network may be ancient by all means but it is probably the most reliable network out there. Whens the last time you heard an iDEN network outage? Personally I've never experienced any problems for the past 6 years. And yes the data portion of the network is horribly slow but it was never really intended to do that in the first place. If this phone'll be doing the same then I don't see the big deal.
