David Riesenberg obviously had his head in the clouds when he dreamed up the OO High Definition Wireless Projector, but it's not like we're kvetching about his imagination's ability to go far beyond the limits of most humans. For one thing, the concept 1080p projector looks (and
lands) like a stunning orange UFO; for another, the specs are otherwordly. Should the device ever come to market, Reisenberg says it will pack SSD storage, WiFi and internal decoder chips into its svelte, 11-inch round carbon fiber frame, as well as three independently articulated legs for balance and a Li-ion battery for up to three hours of
cord-free HD streaming and playback. Did we mention it's got a matching touchscreen remote? And our deepest affection, forever and ever? See what we're drooling over in Riesenberg's subtle video homage to a
certain interstellar piano waltz right after the break.
[Thanks, David]
nicely done, but could've queue the music better...but after all i'm just nit-picking
@CaptainPlanet
Wonder if the prince will show up after that kiss is over.
@CaptainPlanet Star wars pit droid much?
OO.ooh
@werty1432k
I thought the exact same thing... :P
@CaptainPlanet
If we're going to nitpick, I noticed the legs clipping through the floor plane at 0:25 when they were unfolding. :P
o_O it's.... watching me...
LOL. It looks like one of the drones from "War of the Worlds".
I like it.
@305BuddyLuv That's EXACTLY what I thought when I loaded the page, War of the Worlds.
@305BuddyLuv I couldn't agree with you more. It looks straight from War of the Worlds. Just hope the beam of light it emits isn't like what is in the movie! haha
Oh my, that is just sooooo sexy.
Wow...
Zax, is that you? O_o

This is, of course, a riff on the 'Flying Sub' from the 1960s Irwin Allen TV show Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.
Oh! The drone in Star Wars - Phantom Menace. The one that Jarjar gets trouble with :)
george lukas will sure sue them, it's a Pit Droid!!

:)
(and i would soooooo want that projector :))
When I first looked into the eye of this thing I got a strange feeling that it would lock the pod bays doors behind me if I went outside to search for a missing friend.
Dangit you guys, I was totally thinking the same thing, pit droid, no legs.
@ajsparx ...or body...
@bstump meh, you can't really call it a body... but point taken.
**Projector charges up**(think splinter cell) Initiate total human annihilation lol
Reminds me... Oh! yes, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea Flying Sub

well......reminds me of a woman....
(i feel dirty)
Flight of the Navigator
Wow...beautiful projector...never thought I would hear myself say that. Nice!
Nothing says cancer like high bitrate data floating in the room.
Add superheated helium pockets and maybe it COULD fly away...
I can't belive nobody thought about Lenny Kravitz' "If you can't say no" here.
Maybe I'm just to old already...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsP05MHH_G4
Next thing you know it has grown a pair of legs. No way in hell I'd let this thing anywhere near my family!
Or the Spindrift from Land of the Giants.
Too bad the thing had only a 200:1 contrast ratio and cost $11,000. But the case is gorgeous.
I especially like how the promo has a nice, blank 15 seconds of music after the credits, then ends abruptly in the middle of a thought.
Thoughtful.
Looks like a prop from StarGate, like the Eye of Ra or something.
@Palomino
Yes! that is what it reminds me of!!
(i have a brother with the lastname 'Palomino')
It kinda looks like a probe come to take over the world. Looks very modern.
Looks an awful lot like the space ship from Flight of the Navigator...
The big eye reminds me of HAL.
it looks like a pussy
alittle too much function follows form maybe but beautiful!
All I need is to build a custom stand and I'll have my own PIT Droid! Hopefully it won't jump through a pod racer engine when I watch Star Trek on it...
this thing looks like those flying aliens in metal slug. during the space mission
Actually, those of you that are old enough, might remember the flying shuttle from "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" that this design appears to be inspired by:

Batteries Not Included, starring Jessica Tandy & Hume Cronyn.
Nice design and presentation, but do these designers always have to come up with ridiculous dream specs that are not in the least realistic, not now and not in the somewhat foreseeable future? (unless this thing is as bright as a small candle).
