And when that's overclocked, its gets in beast mode.<br><br>So why would you buy a lower speced i7 for $700 than the Phenom II x4?<br><br>IDK, but people seem to do it. Yes, it's quite a bit cheaper than Intel's i7 CPUs, but have you seen the performance comparison? On the same lines however... Intel's i7 processors are in a whole new ballgame than AMD.  They use less power at peak, and grossly less power at idle. Only catch seems to be you need to also get the liquid cooling that will cost a lot more than regular fan.
