Every time! Never fails! My reason: I don't want a BD player that looks like a gaming console sitting there! Make the PS3 (or PS4) look like the traditional A/V component size/shape/housing, and more people will then buy it for just a BD player. As it stands, I can't respect it as a serious BD player (even though it is). Sony keeps on saying "PS3 does everything", "it's more than just a gaming console", etc... well.. prove it!!! Make it look like more than just a gaming console and I'll buy one! But as it stands I want a BD player that is 17" wide to fit/match with my other A/V components.

los ca

Comments on Samsung's 3D BD-C6900 Blu-ray player now shipping, for real

@LosCA
Point taken with wanting homogeneity in your AV equipment. I should qualify my remark by saying that I don't own a PS3; my Blu Ray player is a Sony BDP350.
I suppose my (initially rhetorical) question was focused on a feature/price comparison. The bigger issue is the shape of the PS3, which prevents you from stacking other stuff on top of it. Disc players don't generate much heat, and therefore are one of the few things that can go underneath other components. The PS3 squanders that.

So yes, the PS3 should look like this Samsung player, which is more timeless than the game-console look anyway.

Information Central

Comments on Samsung's 3D BD-C6900 Blu-ray player now shipping, for real

Can't wait to hear about the endless glitches and firmware update hopes that go with Sammy BD players (now 3D)..seeya on gen 3 or 4 for these..

chase17

Comments on Samsung's 3D BD-C6900 Blu-ray player now shipping, for real

@chase1963 Yeah, unlike the endless glitches, nonplayable discs and no firmware updates because the manufacturer have given up on ever making it work Sony blu-ray player I have.

MBS

Comments on Samsung's 3D BD-C6900 Blu-ray player now shipping, for real

Been available at Best Buy for a week now.

Ken

Comments on Samsung's 3D BD-C6900 Blu-ray player now shipping, for real

ok so i am buying 3D br player , no problem, ...............BUT where are the discs 3D to put inside, i cant see no freaking Bluray on the market, on blockbuster, its like buying condoms but i dont have a girfriend(gay friend depends)

papabear_2_3

Comments on Samsung's 3D BD-C6900 Blu-ray player now shipping, for real

Have you ever been to Best Buy?
