Clear is agressivelly rolling out their service. There was quite a delay in the end of '08 & the first 3 quarters of '09- hopefully properly testing coverage & making sure it was solid before going live. Chicago was about 6-8 months behind what was orig talked about, but now it seems they're rolling full steam & since Google & a couple other bigtime co's own a minority stake in Clear I'm sure it'll do well or I at least feel more assured. Here are two quotes from 2 sites cites talking coverage & by the end of th year will cover 80+ markets & will cover more people than I think most people realize. (120+/- mil.)

In our recent earnings call we talked about our plan to build our network to reach 120 million POPs by end of 2010. We also announced that we'll have launched commercially in most major U.S. cities by the end of the year including New York, San Francisco, Boston, Houston, Kansas City and Washington, DC. The big picture is that we'll soon have a network that stretches from coast to cast and covers the major cities.

Clearwire currently covers 34 million points of presence (POP) as of last quarter. It's also commercially available in 28 different U.S. cities including Seattle, Honolulu and Maui. Network World also discussed Clearwire's plans for the duration of the year which is said to include launching CLEAR WiMAX service commercially in several more major cities by the end of the year including New York, San Francisco, Boston, Houston, Kansas City and Washington, DC.

Skipy

Comments on WiMAX-enabled HTC Supersonic rumored to debut on Sprint at CTIA

@Android4Eva

*I repeat for some uncontrollable reason.

THIS IS THE DROID WE'RE LOOKING FOR.

krische

Comments on WiMAX-enabled HTC Supersonic rumored to debut on Sprint at CTIA

@Jean Marc Harford County is awesome...i hope they install wimax at the walmarts like they mentioned earlier, because im surrounded by walmarts

chnwa3

Comments on WiMAX-enabled HTC Supersonic rumored to debut on Sprint at CTIA

wimx in nyc

elitist

Comments on WiMAX-enabled HTC Supersonic rumored to debut on Sprint at CTIA

this is my passport out of at+t iphone hell.
