We knew things were just too quiet after the noon hour, and now we know why. An impromptu support group meeting has been scheduled for 1:30PM ET, though we're hearing the location is still being decided...
- "The OTA software update for the Droid by Motorola is TBD. A new date will be communicated as soon as possible.
- The 3/18 OTA software update will not happen as planned. A new date will be communicated as soon as possible."

@Edobe: my droid is snappier without 2.1 anyways thanks to cynogen v5. I got everything that 2.1 has to offer anyways so, I don't care anymore! I think everyone should root their droid and stay ahead of the game.

@MatriX123 Even motorola seems surprised by the delay. Verizon takes forever on this stuff.
That's one of the many reasons I like my iPhone.

on a similar note, if verizon/motorola doesn't want people to root, they sure aren't going about it the right way.

Man, that sux. I want to get a Droid, but with the HTC Incredible rumour of 2 weeks, I am waiting. Hopefully that one will pan out.

Pshh... I suppose this is finally going to push me to an aftermarket rom. I'm tired of all this waiting! This is kind of like waiting for DNF (duke nukem forever.... did not finish)! Anyways, I hear bugless-beast is good.

This article had not a hint of humor in it yet I looked at my Droid and gave a hearty laugh... I KNEW IT!
Anyway, I still like my Droid as it is. Since the update still won't allow me to transfer non-Google emails to different folders I'm not too pressed. If that were bundled into this update I'd be pissed.
