FaceVsion rolls out 720p FVexpress webcam combo kit
FaceVsion already debuted its TouchCam N1 Skype HD webcam at CES, and it's now followed that up with its new FVexpress Combo kit, which is apparently tailored specifically for Google Talk users. That kit includes the company's FV TouchCam L1 HD webcam (pictured above), as well as an FVexpress ExpressCard that does hardware H.264 encoding of the video before streaming it over the internet with the included QuLives communication manager software (which is itself fully compatible with Google Talk). All of that expectedly pushes this kit past the usual cost of a webcam, but the $149.95 asking price isn't exactly too extravagant considering what you're getting.

I wish they integrated that technology into IP or any other Internet Cameras. Web-Cam's quality is decent enough to have conversation between individuals...
Looks like a segway.
@Zizou lol indeed it does
I actually haven't heard of FaceVsion for anything except for this.

is this a good web cam by current day standards?
So cute!
iphone does this better
When is a skype 720p offering going to be able available? if you say logitech 9000, you don't know what yer talking about.
My face is not worth $149.95.
IF Video in google talk was added to the app and not only to the web version, i'd be more than happy!!
lame.
I'm a bit confused, some of the webcams from FaceVsion need the PC express card, and some don't? (I would obviously prefer the on-board solution (built into the cam)).
Looking at the official site: www.facevsionusa.com, 720p video requires 1.2mbps upload on both ends. Not going to be so great for brits (unless they have fancy 50mb virgin media, where the upload is 1.5mbps). The other slight letdown (from the specs on the site), is that the 1280x720 resolution will only go up to 22fps, with the lower res choice going up to 30. Still probably pretty good though, providing you have the connection.
