With iPhone OS, you buy something once, and it can then be installed on unlimited devices. As long as the device runs iPhone OS, you never have to buy it again, you just sync up your new device. For example, if I buy Dungeon Solitaire on iPhone now, then in a week buy an iPad, I can sync up and then play Dungeon Solitaire on my iPad. And then if the developer updates the game to be a universal iPad app, then it'll be even better for iPad, without costing me one cent more. If you are complaining about everything being made for one OS, then you might as well complain about Windows, that's even worse.

And as for being "more expensive" than the "physical equivalent", which exact equivalent are you talking about? Name one tablet PC that's cheaper with the exact same specs? OK, name a laptop with the same specs that's cheaper, though that's not really equivalent. Oh, are you talking about netbooks? There are very few netbooks as powerful as the iPad (once you account for how slow Windows actually runs on a netbook), let alone cheaper than the iPad.

Dreamwriter

Comments on

@Colrath Angry, deluded haters. Are you kidding me? We are talking about Apple. Yeah, the Macbooks, iMacs, iPhone, Mouse, Personal Computer, iPod, iTunes, Mac OS X are all just terrible failures! YES THAT WAS SARCASM! People line up to buy these things because of repeated success of product launches and customer satisfaction with the product that overshadows any other company where electronics are concerned. I love people saying the iPhone would tank, and that the Pre was an iPhone killer.
