Even though the service where I live isn't so hot (barely get Edge and no 3G at all), I love Android and I really enjoy flashing roms and themes. I have no idea how this thing can be a success.<br>Got mine for AT&T Friday, today is Monday and it's going back. Alot needs to be done for it to work, the screenvis nowhere near as responsive as the Fruit phone, and is absolutly useless outside as well. Touch sensitve buttons are horrible, and the ear piece volume is a straight joke. In an empty room the volume is still low, imagine every day normal use. And to be honest, I like sense on top of android a whole lot better. Plus the whole order through Google thing suxxxxx! <br><br>My advice hold out for the Desire, and that sexy beast the EVO! Both will be running a new version of HTC sense and look pretty Awesome. I would learn towards the EVO cause it's similar to the HD2, which i love, and has a more friendly ever day screen material compared to that of the Desire which uses the same technology as the Nexus!<br><br>Ehh, VZW can keep that incredible! Especially since the word is that the Amazing Snap Dragon has been underclocked to 700! If you hated them on the N1, you'll hate them on the Desire.<br><br>2 - My N1's screen is sensitive to the slightest contact.  I'd suggest if you don't return it for another phone, contact support because you have a dud.  Same with the capacitive buttons.<br><br>3 - I had my old Touch Pro and Nexus One outside at the same time.  They both sucked.  The AMOLED-Sunlight bandwagon is stupid.  The HD2 and EVO will have the same inherent issues because ALL current AMOLED devices have them.  Oh and get used to that ish because everyone's moving to AMOLED before they get Super-AMOLED, unless you're Samsung.<br><br>4 - The earpiece is loud as shit, I have zero idea who you can't hear it.<br><br>5 - Sense is available via Modaco's firmware, which also gets you root access the himem kernel, and undervolt.  Everything works with the exception of flaky bluetooth.  How did you not know there was no SenseUI BEFORE you bought this phone if it were such a dealbreaker?<br><br>6 - If you were apprehensive about ordering through Google, why did you bother? That's completely bogus.  The processor doesn't work that way.  It is not available at lower clock speeds. Wish sprints network was as big as verizons cause Evo kills the nexus. Sprints 4g isn't announced in Orlando, Fl yet either so I wouldn't get to benefit. The Evo is awesome but only a select few will stand to gain with its purchase, primarily those with 4g in their area.
