Even with its disadvantages, I think the iPhone is still the best hardware/OS combo available. Also, they do have a new model coming out in less than 3 months.<br><br>I think there are a lot of people who are waiting for the iPhone on Verizon, not because they are Apple fanboys (they all switched to ATT 3 years ago), but because they believe it to be the best device currently on the market. My brother has never owned a Mac, or even an iPod, but is waiting to ditch his stupid phone until he can get an iPhone (Verizon is the only provider in his area). They will pick 1000 randomly to give the update to at noon.  Then at nearly midnight, they'll pick another 9000 random.  Then tomorrow, they'll pick more random.  And so on and so on until everyone is selected for update.  Today's batches are so that they can do a limited rollout, as a test.  Tomorrows and subsequent batches will be so that they don't overload the servers...
