Putting a trendy term like "HD" on a trendy gadget like the iPhone is pure genius. He knows his demographic isn't the brightest, most articulate crowd out there, but with the younger crop of sheep growing up much more tech friendly, he had to appeal to the next generation. The term "HD" is the new "Turbo" or "Super". Thanks to HTC's recent push near the top, he knew he probably couldn't get away with just another incremental update & call it a new device.
