And probably another 1% has been sold already. <br><br>Unfortunately for them it isnt selling well... the price they are getting is about same you pay with sales tax. Why? Because you guys just set the bar for what you consider a "failure." You guys just gave us the ammunition to diss any gadget in the future that doesn't sell more than 300,000. That includes the HP Slate, Courier (coming 2012) or any Windows Phone  or Android device. It only did that good because thats all the people who are going to buy it.<br><br>Now whats left are those who decide to change their minds after a jailbreak comes out, and those who do change their minds will be one of the last people who buy the ipad. People who want 1st Gen, if they enjoy their experience, might have an annual upgrade cycle which would mean you don't want them locked into a 2 year contract.  It was just a good PR move in some ways. On the other hand, Notion Inc Adam is surely superior to iPad (except for the looks). But I doubt whether it will sell even a fraction of the number of iPads that will be sold. Marketing, brand name, play HUGE roles. People do not dare take risks on new products (many times they are justified too).
