Definitely way too pricey.

The kindle and basically every ereader out there costs less than this thing. A LOT less.

I've seen video of the prototype and page loading/turning was quite slow. This was one of the issues they wanted to deal with. I'm not sure if they fixed it.

It looks nice. But, all it's just a black slab. I can read my books over HDMI on my tv screen. Now I know thats not a realistic usage senario but It owns your iPad.

the annoying thing is once again it takes Apple to get the eBook market rolling for all the idiotic sheeple out there who can't use their own brains and discover something for themselves. the ipad is for light reading at most, but is no way a replacement for a real book, unlike an eInk reader.
