Not if it's engineered/designed & manufactured properly. N97 hinges are superb. 1 year of open/closing and it's still working near the day i unboxed it. My E90 also is superbly hinged. 3 years of usage and working beautifully.

For $100 cheaper, or even less than that, you could get a Nexus One or any other fully functional phone with a video camera and video playback, and it'd be a phone, smaller and thinner.

I'm not crazy about this device either, but recommending a nexus one over an HD camcorder is ludicrous. Any other phone? Like what? There are no phones in the U.S with a camcorder anywhere near the flip HD and even if there was, there's no way I'm going to give up my pre, iphone, droid or blackberry for some LG feature phone with above average but still mediocre video recording
