Like we already saw with Intels releases MeeGo is meant to be used from mobile devices to computers and everything between. MeeGo and Symbian are both open, both use the Qt UI toolkit for apps and UI design, and use the Ovi services on Nokia devices. All Qt apps will be shared, so you can use the services, content, and apps you need whether you use a $225 cellphone, $425 pocket computer, $645 tablet, $845 HDTV, or any other device running Symbian, MeeGo, Mac OSX, Windows, Unix, or Linux.

Its not about the OS. I'm just saying that I have been using Nokia phones all my life (starting with the 3110 and now i have the n97) and I'm not really planning on staying with nokia. It's just that when i compare my phone to an iphone or htc hero I am kind of dissapointed in the abilities of my os. The OVI store has pretty much no interesting apps (at least not here in belgium) and it doesn't seem like many developers are interested in the platform. The brief experience i had with the n900 didn't convince me either(that is why i didn't buy it) and i can't say i'm looking forward to this MeeGo thingie. The only thing nokia does better then all the other players is synchronising and exchange support. At least when i compare my experience with my colleagues'.

Nieker

Comments on Intel gives MeeGo 1.0 its first public performance (video)

@nieker nokia 3210 that is :)

Nieker
