For the proper 3D support you will need a new HDMI 1.4 TV, so if you want the modern 3D that will be in Blu-Ray and games then you will need a new TV.

However some older TV's out there that can do forms of 3D and are supported by a few things but that support is going to dwindle now this standard has been released. It's unlikely you have one of these older 3D TV's unless you bought it specifically for that fact.

For all other TV's, the only options you really have is to use a form of Anaglyph (the method that needs the 2 different colour lenses in the glasses). It's a really old method now (Victorians even used it for photos), the colour is bad as and there is usually bad ghosting (some of left view seeable by the right eye).
