Mind you, ff-cams have been around since 2005, and many Euro networks had the capacity to support it since '06. They weren't limited by carrier either. If 2 people had any phone with a front-facing camera, they could talk to each other regardless of what network they were on.

It would make sense, the more you make of a product the less each individual unit costs. Not like they have anywhere else to go, the 3GS had a ~600MHz Cortex A8 and the A4 SoC uses a 1000MHz Cortex A8. Seems like a no-brainer upgrade. My best guess would be that it has as much RAM as the iPad as well (256MB), which is half as much as a Nexus One, HD2, Evo 4G, Pre Plus, etc.


But thats the hardware enthusiast in me talking, fixated on specs as usual :-P

Err, it looks...Pretty? Miniature iPad, with brick-like stature, I get it. I haven't played with a Mac too much, but I've seen them in action. I figure it'd be less video conference phone calls and more like cam chatting, the same way you'd do on AIM/MSN/other, with other people, regardless of whether or not they're on their phones or not (you'd have the proper credentials and stuff and logged in, and you can cam chat with your AIM/MSN/Yahoo/etc people via your phone.

Does anyone know where I can get an iPhone 3g case that resembles the case apple used to disguise the iPhone 4 as a 3gs?

Basiclly, a slim fit, black case, hard, shiny black like the color of the back of the iPhone, and covers the chrome rim

As far as touchscreen phones go, the hardware provides very little cues about innovation. They're essentially blank slates made interesting by the software it's running. Without a final build of OS 4.0, how can you definitely conclude that it's not innovative enough?
