The form factor of phones is a compromise between battery life and size/weight. The majority of people prefer the compromise to sit where it is. Not sure how much difference the thickness would make. It doesn't protect the front of the iPhone very well. I have it, made the mistake of dropping my iPhone with the Power Skin attached. My glass cracked! All I'm saying is that there is going to be a definite split in the market when the current iPhone 3G/3GS users and the upcoming iPhone 4 users will have to make a choice when it comes to a lot of third-party accessories.  As a previous 3GS owner, I had a number of cases that I rotated for fun or practicality. Pics transfered with no problem. Case has mini USB most iPhone docks as we know, are not. Upside: the case is Very easy to remove. Good time to wipe it off a little. I have the case and like it but my wife dropped hers once and it broke. The area around volume/mute buttons is thin and apprently frigile. Her case otherwise seems fine. My previous experiences with two-piece iPhone cases is that if you take them off a lot you slowly loosen the way they attach, and for something this expensive that might be a problem if you plan to use it a lot. I prefer the added thickness, feels more solid when holding the phone. It may be a tad too thick, though, so this battery pack may feel better.<br>Batteries are not up to par with cell phones yet, so we compromise. As for docking the iPhone with the pack, the Mophie can't do it (without some extra attatchment?), so I take the case off, which is easy.
